It was a busy Saturday near the beginning of the summer at the Manhattan Beach Pier and these kiddos showed up for our photo session looking like they owned the place–you know the way kids do that in places they visit often? They were running, they were being silly, they were being themselves and I loved that!
When I’m photographing a family, one of my main objectives is to capture the true personalities of the kids. It’s hard to do when the photos are super posed and formal, but when you put them in their element and let them do their thing, all you have to do is snap away! It’s like photo magic!
