This may an unpopular opinion but I prefer the beach in winter over summer. Don’t get me wrong… I love some warm sunshine and the glee of children playing in the surf but cozy layers, warm snuggles, less people and winter light are my jam. Regardless of the time of year, I feel excited, and lucky, every time I get to head out to one of our many stunning beaches for a family photo session like this magical one at golden hour down at Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point. It was definite sweater weather that day but you wouldn’t know it looking at these fun, glowy photos!
