With all my photo sessions, but especially with maternity photography, I work with my clients to choose a location and/or an activity that is meaningful to them. This makes the photos so much more special but it also helps clients feel more at-ease being somewhere or doing something familiar.
When we were prepping for this shoot, Kristina mentioned the beloved persimmon tree in the backyard of their Highland Park home, under which they loved to host friends and just hang out. It seemed like the perfect setting for some colorful, laid-back pregnancy photos. The leaves started to drop from the tree a few days before our shoot date and I’m kind of obsessed the texture they add to the photos!
