About this time last year, I headed over Lindsay’s home in the Hollywood Hills for a maternity photo session. Her home was the perfect setting to capture those quiet, last few days before their baby arrived.
She wanted the photos to feel “beautifully timeless” with a more raw, editorial feel. We kept the posing relaxed, used just natural light (except for a few fun film photos at the end) and I think we nailed the vibe she was going for which, to me, would be best described as “California Cool”–Laid-back, natural and effortless. Ironically, the day of our shoot was one the hottest day of the year, like REALLY hot. But, you wouldn’t know it from looking at these photos! Just a beautiful mama, cool as a cucumber.
The photos are a combination of color and black + white film as well as digital.
